Terri “Nikki” Margaret Nichols (August 30, 1962–January 5, 2024)

Our beloved Terri “Nikki” Margaret Nichols, 61, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away in her home on January 5, 2024. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 30, 1962 to James and Clara Covert. Terri attended Boston University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and she dedicated over thirty years of her life to serving her communities. During her time as a nurse, she touched many lives and loved her patients. As a talented artist Terri “Nikki” also started her own art company, “Art de Vie Studio” (Art of Life Studio). She executed many murals throughout Central Florida, participated in local art shows and contributed to several community projects including two large murals in Downtown Lake Wales, Florida.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents James and Clara Covert, and is survived by her siblings Rhonda Berntsen, Christopher Covert, and Cindra Barnes; Children, Michael Nichols, James Nichols, and Elisabeth Nichols; Nieces and Nephews, Matthew Berntsen, Qwalen Berntsen, Johnathan Covert, and Maddison Barnes; and Grandchildren, Bella Nichols, Olivia Nichols, Ronald Nichols, Scarlett Patrick, and Emilee Nichols. Over the years, Terri loved her family with a deepness and fullness that shows in their respect and love for her. Terri will always be remembered for her way of finding the bright side of life and her love of those around her. Her memory will live on in our hearts, and we know that she has gone home to be with God. The family will be holding a private celebration of life in the weeks to come. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers through these difficult times, and as we remember the time we spent with her.
