Sheriff Grady Judd briefed the media at 5:30 pm regarding a double murder suicide. The suspect Brandy Hutchins allegedly killed her 10 Yr old son and then her 19 Yr old daughter, before turning the gun on herself and killing herself.
The situation appeared to be escalated due to a custody situation between the mom and the boys father. The 19 Yr old daughter was from a different father.
The 10 Yr Old Boys Father has posted to Facebook.

Sheriff Grady Judd will brief the media at 5:00 pm at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Southeast District Office at 4011 Sgt Mary Campbell Way (off of Thompson Nursery Road, west of US 27), near Lake Wales.
He will provide preliminary information of what appears to be a double murder of two children by their mother and her subsequent suicide early Sunday afternoon in the Waverly area of Lake Wales.
