The Lake Wales Public Library is hosting a Community Resource Fair on March 11th from 10am – 12pm, proudly sponsored by the Polk County Library Cooperative. It is a free family friendly event designed to educate the community and surrounding areas on healthcare, housing resources, tutoring, nutrition, and more. Vendors will offer activities & crucial information for all.

On Saturday, March 11th bring the family out for the Polk County Library Cooperative’s first ever Community Resource Fair! Set up in the parking lot and inside the Lake Wales Public Library, vendors from around the community will be at the library from 10am – 12pm to educate on healthcare, nutrition, career support, literacy, crime prevention, safety, and much more! Free health screenings, fun activities and drawings, snacks and other goodies will be available. This fair is completely free and the perfect opportunity for new or established residents to gather information and resources from around Polk County. Each of the eighteen Polk County Library Cooperative sites will host future Community Resource Fairs. Help us start off this series of Community Resource Fairs with a bang! Don’t miss this vital opportunity to expand your connections within Polk County.

Representatives from a variety of community agencies and non-profits will be there.  Around 12-13. Vendors will have a table and a few chairs, along with information/brochures about their respective organizations. We will have a Seek & Find Map designed to assist patrons in visiting each vendor booth, to give a run-down of what the event will offer and how to navigate. We will also have carts set-up with books on wellness for patrons to check out.
