Two Acres Burned in Vegetation Fire off Hwy. 60 E

Polk County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a vegetation fire at 1:26 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Nathaniel Gale, public information officer for PCFR, says that the fire encompassed approximately 2 acres of land east of Indian Lake Estates in the River Ranch area.

The fire was put out at approximately 2:58 PM with the assistance of the Florida Forestry Service.

No injuries were reported and no structures suffered damage during the course of the fire.
