Lake Wales Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Early Morning Shooting on 3rd Street

Lake Wales, FL – At approximately 12:30 a.m., Lake Wales Police Officers responded to a reported shooting near the intersection of 3rd Street and Polk Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered one individual had sustained a non-life-threatening injury as a result of the incident.

Following an investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 20-year-old Delbert Todd of Lake Wales. Todd was located and taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
