“Journey to Bethlehem” for One Night Only in Lake Wales, Dec. 15

Date:

The “Journey to Bethlehem” has never been so easy to experience.

An all-new Christmas event is coming to Lake Wales, entitled, “Journey to Bethlehem.” This free event is for one night only on Sunday, December 15, 2025, from 5:30-8:00 pm. It will be hosted on the campus of First Baptist Church, Lake Wales, located at 50 S. Fourth Street.

Dr. Scott Markley, senior pastor at FBCLW, says this year’s experience will be a little different than previous ones.

“While the church has offered a Drive-Thru Christmas event over the last four years, this will be a 30-minute walkthrough event, Markley says. “For those who attend, the journey will begin in a Bethlehem marketplace staged in the courtyard of FBC. In the marketplace there will be booths which offer interactive experiences with various crafts for children or adults. From there walking groups will tour through five dramatic scenes with each unfolding a new element of the Christmas story. New walking groups will begin their journey every ten minutes.

Signing up for a tour time is not required, but it will help the organizers manage the expected crowds better. Therefore, the public is invited to go to fbclw.com to select a tour time.
