At approximately 9:35am a single motorcycle was involved in some type of crash that left the driver injured. The call came in as Hwy 27 & Presidents Dr., but the accident was actually at the intersection of Hwy 27 & First Avenue N. almost in from of the Polk County Fire Rescue station.
According to witnesses it appeared the motorcyclist either lost control on the loose gravel or suffered some type of medical condition. It appears the driver was awake and alert while PCFR emergency responders loaded him into the ambulance. Where he was transported to a nearby hospital.
The intersection was partially blocked, but traffic flow still continued. scene has now been cleared.
