In Loving Memory of Dale Sumner Bourdette, 84

Dale Sumner Bourdette of Lake Wales passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

He was born May 10, 1940 in Milan, Pennsylvania to the late Robert and Helen Bourdette; he moved to Lake Wales from Elmira, New York in 1978. Dale had a bachelor’s degree from Penn State and was a retired real estate broker. He loved to play golf and was a lifelong Cardinal Baseball fan. Dale enjoyed gardening, yard work, and internationally traveling. The church was a big part of his life and he was active in First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales. He loved his wife and family dearly.

Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracey Kay Bourdette. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol Bourdette; son, Jeff Bourdette of Winter Haven; sister, Sheryl Deibler of New York; granddaughter, Tiffany Peterson; and great-granddaughter, Daisy Peterson.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the memorial service at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales with Rev. Mackey Smith officiating.
