Family Elder Law Sends Notice of Closure to Clients Amid Open Investigation By The Florida Bar

The Florida Bar, an agency that manages the regulation and discipline of attorneys and the governance of Florida Registered Paralegals, has confirmed that there is an open investigation of attorney Jason Penrod, owner of Family Elder Law in Lake Wales, Sebring, and Lakeland.

Jennifer Krell Davis, J.D., Director, Communications Division of The Florida Bar, provided the following statement today:

“I can confirm that The Florida Bar has an open investigation regarding Jason Penrod. There is no other public information on this case at this time.

According to local reports, several clients of Family Elder Law, located at 122 E. Tillman Ave. in Lake Wales, have had difficulty making contact with personnel at their office.

On July 31, an email was received by a reader of Lake Wales Daily, who is also a former client of Family Elder Law. The email states that, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Family Elder Law is in the process of closing its operations.”

No further details with regard to the reason for the closure are offered in the email.

Family Elder Law, owned by attorney, Jason Penrod, has had its website and social media media pages removed.
