In loving memory of Joe Neal Kincade

Joe Neal Kincaid, 95, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Good Shepard Hospice House, Auburndale, FL.

He was born March 31, 1929, on Easter Sunday to the late James Cecil Kincaid, Sr. and Mary Alma Davis Kincaid.  Joe’s family was one of the first pioneer families in the Lake Wales area, where his grandfather established the Lake Wales Dairy, also known as the Kincaid Dairy, in the Spook Hill area.  His family also established a dairy outlet and ice cream store known as the Kandy Jane. Joe grew up in Lake Wales, graduated from Lake Wales High School and attended University of Florida, remaining a staunch Gator all his life.  Joe was also a member of the Florida National Guard and an avid golfer, playing twice a week until very recently.  He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Bartow.

 Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Mary Kincaid, brothers Cecil Kincaid, Jr, and Leo Kincaid.  He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Katherine Wooten Kincaid, sisters Jane Kincaid Thomas, Jacksonville, FL and Kandy Kincaid, Winter Haven, FL; children Kathy Kincaid Seaton and husband David, Chesapeake, VA; Alan Kincaid and wife Marsha, Lake Wales FL; Robbie Kincaid and wife Sandy, Lake Wales FL; Melodie Kincaid, Frostproof, FL; Cheryl Watson, Bartow, FL; and Dale Barefoot, Tallahassee, FL.  Joe had twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
