Lake Wales, Florida – Lake Wales Police are investigating a death at a home on Voncile Street Thursday evening.
According to Sgt. Rhoden with the Lake Wales Police Department, officers are conducting a death investigation and there is currently no danger to the public.
A significant law enforcement presence could be seen early Thursday evening along Voncile Street, a normally quiet residential street in a well-maintained neighborhood just a block from Lake Wailes. Multiple Polk County Sheriff’s Office forensic units are assisting at the scene, where crime scene tape has been placed around a residence.
Sergeant Rhoden couldn’t release any further information at this time. We still have no information regarding the identity of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding the death.
