In Loving Memory of Mary “Diann” Giles, 82, of Lake Wales

Mary “Diann” Giles of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born January 17, 1943, in Trenton, Georgia to the late Arthur and Betty Wood. Diann was the owner of Giles Rose Nursery, was a member of the Florida Nursery Growers Association, and was a rose hybridizer. She enjoyed quilting and oil painting. Diann was a great cook and was a fountain of wisdom. She loved spending time with her family.

Diann is survived by her husband of 67 years, James “Jim” D. Giles, Jr.; children, James D. Giles, III and wife Mary of Ocala, Kenneth D. Giles and wife Lori of Brooklet, Georgia, Wendy Frankle and husband Michael of Palm City, Kevin D. Giles of Lake Wales; sisters, Aleene Crump and husband Bob of Polk City, Melba Stallard and husband RL of Trenton, Georgia, Lynda Tyler of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee; brother, Daniel Wood of Trenton, Georgia; ten grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
