Margaret “Rickie” Settle, 72
Margaret “Rickie” Settle of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.
She was born August 8, 1952, in Mount Olive, North Carolina; she moved to Lake Wales from Hollywood in 1969. Rickie was a retired office manager for Casual Way Pools and was of the Episcopalian faith. She was a member of the Lake Wales Moose Lodge and the VFW Auxiliary of Lake Wales.
Rickie was preceded in death by her father, William Kinlaw. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joe Settle; sons, Joseph H. Settle, III of Crestview, Michael Settle of Lake Wales, Keith Settle of Lake Wales; mother, Margaret Wandzilak of Gainesville; sisters, Jeannie Arnold of Gainesville, Donna Pellow of Fort Lauderdale; brothers, Michael Kinlaw of Port Charlotte, Tom Kinlaw of Coral Springs; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor can be sent to the Lake Wales VFW Auxiliary Post 2420 (115 West Central Avenue, Lake Wales, Florida 33853).
