Lake Wales Arts Council Honors Decades of Creativity with Closing Reception for “How the Arts Shaped Lake Wales: 50 Plus Years”

LWAC — The Lake Wales Arts Council invites the community to a special Closing Reception for its landmark exhibition, How the Arts Shaped Lake Wales: 50 Plus Years, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 5:30 PM.

This elegant evening will celebrate over half a century of artistic influence, community connection, and cultural growth in Lake Wales.

The exhibition is a powerful retrospective that chronicles the extraordinary impact of the arts on the city’s identity. It honors the visionaries, institutions, and creatives who have shaped Lake Wales into a thriving center for artistic expression.

Guests will journey through a curated collection of art, history, and storytelling that highlights the community’s rich creative heritage—from the iconic Bok Tower Gardens and Chalet Suzanne to treasured institutions like the Lake Wales Little Theater and the Highlander Band.

Exhibition Highlights Include:
