At approximately 1:29 PM, Polk County Fire Rescue reported a traffic collision on Sunday, March 23, 2025, near the intersection of Highway 27 and Chalet Suzanne Road, just north of the intersection. The accident in on the northbound side of Hwy. 27, in front of the Publix plaza.
A two-door red vehicle is on its roof on the side of the road. The occupant or occupants of the vehicle are out. Lake Wales Police Department and Lake Wales Fire Department are on scene. it is unknown at this time if other vehicles were involved.
Emergency vehicles are in the right hand merge lane and in the shoulder. Traffic is moving freely. Use extra caution if driving through this area.
UPDATE 6:15 p.m.: Polk County Fire Rescue has confirmed that no patients were transported with injuries.
