The Lake Wales Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in an attempt to identify an individual attempting to leave a local retail location with items he hadn’t paid for.
On February 3, 2025, a man entered the Love’s travel stop located at 17309 Highway 27 in Lake Wales. He is described as a white male with a beard and mustache, wearing a black True Religion hoodie, black sweatpants, a tan True Religion hat, and white tennis shoes. After selecting several items, he attempted to leave without paying. The man fled the scene on a white Home Depot truck. Authorities are looking for any information that might help identify the suspect.
