Joseph Edward “Joe” Campbell, 89
Joseph Edward “Joe” Campbell of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.
He was born November 5, 1935 in Anderson, IN to the late Harold and Martha Campbell; he came to Lake Wales from Haines City in 1996. He was a retired golf coach for Perdue and had a golf tournament named after him at Perdue University. He was also a golf pro for the PGA and Senior PGA. He was in the Golf Hall of Fame in Indiana and Tennessee.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Millie Campbell; daughters, Beverly Campbell of Knoxville, TN and Whitney; sons, Blake Campbell (Kristy) of Powell, TN and Bret Campbell (Cynthia) of Haines City; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
