A fire at a mobile home in River Ranch is said to be under control at this hour. Multiple units of first responders were sent to the scene.
Katelyn Hoverkamp, Polk County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer, offers the following statement:
“On 11/15/24 at 6:52 p.m. PCFR crews were dispatched to 18550 Hwy 630 E in Lake Wales in reference to a mobile home fire.
“Upon PCFRs arrival at 7:00 p.m., crews were able to confirm it was a mobile home involved but all residents were out of the residence.
“Crews worked diligently to extinguish the fire using department brush truck and the scene was deemed under control at 7:57 p.m.
“Initially two patients reported possible injuries but both refused transport. No additional injuries were reported and no patients were transported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.”
