Lake Wales Pioneer Days is open! Time to pack your family and friends up and head down to Lake Wailes Lake today until five and again tomorrow from 9-5.when I arrived this morning to check out the happenings, I was greeted with a demonstration by the Lake Wales Highlander band. It was an excellent start to a fun day. The stage will host entertainment throughout the day today and tomorrow. There are several exhibits of life, as it was in the pioneer days, a display of tractors and vintage vehicles, a petting zoo, a large selection of food, trucks, and various vendors of handcrafted and handmade items.
Parking is available around the lake, and there is a handicap parking section directly adjacent to the event area.
