UPDATE: 9/7, 7:58 a.m.: Lake Wales Police Department on call PIO advises confirms that two vehicles were involved on the collision. A totally of three individuals were transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
At approximately 4:09 PM this afternoon, Polk County Fire Rescue was notified of a traffic collision occurring at 238 Polk Ave. E and 3rd. Street, in Lake Wales. One individual was transported as a result.
Please avoid the area as the scene is cleared and law enforcement completes its investigation.
