June C. Burney of Dundee passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her residence.
She was born June 10, 1932 in Colquitt, Georgia to the late Cleveland Cobb and Ethel Stokes Cobb. June was a homemaker and a mother to all of the neighborhood kids. She was of the Baptist faith and collected antiques.
June was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Burney, Sr.; son, Daryl Burney; and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnne Clanton (Dwight) of Dundee and Elaine Bozeman of Dundee; sons, Robert Burney (Rena) and Lex Burney (Nancy) of Davenport; 9 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
A meet and greet will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Dundee with Pastor Michael Disney officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
