Today at approximately 1:54 p.m., Polk County Fire Rescue, Dundee Fire Department, Haines City Fire Department, Lake Hamilton Police Department and Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residential structure fire located in Lake Hamilton. Upon arrival, crews observed the residence was fully engulfed and worked quickly to extinguish the fire.
PCFR transported two patients from the scene, one bystander that attempted to determine if an individual was inside, and one PCFR employee as a precautionary measure. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Florida State Marshal’s Office, PCSO and Lake Hamilton PD.
