Joy Gay Jones Dailey, age 80, of Chuckey, TN, passed away Saturday night at Johnson City Medical Center.


She was born December 26, 1942 in Mineral Wells, Texas, a daughter of the late Excil (Abels) and Allen Davidson Jones. Joy moved to Florida in 1960’s and was a housekeeper at the River Ranch Resort. She moved to Tennessee in May of 2006.


Survivors include three sons: Allen Keith Teslow, Carl Kevin Teslow, and Curtiss Teslow all of Greeneville; daughter: Debbie Kimmel of Texas; 12 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren; brother: George Allen Jones of Lake Wales, FL; sister in law Tresa Jones and sister in law Diane Jones, Her AuntJoyce Cobb of Texas; lots of Nieces and nephews,two fur babies :Maggie and Izzy.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Excil Jones daughter: Rene Teslow,two sisters: Betty Owens and Barbara Moody; two brothers: Zane Jones and James Jones.( Cowboy)

She was dynamite in a small package,a fierce defender of her family, She was funny,loved to aggravate and argue,She is going to be missed here with us but rejoicing in heaven with her family that went before her.
