More eligible seniors in the northwest neighborhood received home improvements through the City’s Legacy Housing Program

Date:

More eligible seniors in the northwest neighborhood received home improvements through the City’s Legacy Housing Program facilitated by the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). The program is designed to help eligible homeowners 65 and older with a variety of services, such as roof repairs, exterior painting, light construction and lawn cleanup.

The program is supported by area partners, including Keystone Challenge Fund, Lake Wales Police Department, Lowes and Roosevelt Academy. Students at Roosevelt Academy designed and built raised planters for seniors to grow flowers and plants.
