A list of festivities celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is planned in Lake Wales this weekend.
Check out all the activities planned to commemorate the 2025 holiday:
Friday, January 17th: Oratorical Contest at James P. Austin Community Center at 6pm.
Saturday, January 18th: Unity Walk starting at Kiwanis Park at 8:30am, Wellness Expo at B Street Community Center at 10am, and Kid’s Night at James P. Austin Community Center at 6pm.
Sunday, January 19th: Gospel Extravaganza at First Institutional Missionary Baptist Church at 3:30pm.
Monday, January 20th: Legacy Breakfast at James P. Austin Community Center at 8:30am, MLK Parade at 3:30pm, and Commemorative Celebration at 5:00pm.
